Alan Taylor, Inventor, Chief Scientist

Alan Taylor is a Chemical Engineer who graduated from London University College with First Class Honours.

Employed as a chemical engineer by Lankro Chemicals, Diamond Shamrock, and Vintex PVC Mfg. before starting a commercial and industrial water treatment company.   Alan has worked as a Project Engineer for the design and build of chemical reactors and heat exchanges, developing a range of high temperature synthetic lubricants, and water filtration technology.

Alan’s company has built water treatment plants for Pepsi in Europe as well as for Arcasorb, who had a process for decolorizing water using chitin and chitosan media.   The company went bankrupt and their patents for color reduction were acquired during the liquidation of the company.   This began a path of research into the use of chitosan and silver as an antimicrobial media for water filtration and other uses a full decade ahead of current research.  Subsequent patents have been awarded on the process of making the patented chitosan silver formula and its variations and forms, from which a range of a range personal care, medical, and infection control products are based.   Alan has collaborated on, been awarded, and currently holds 4 patents with additional patents pending.
